Working together to achieve the best outcome for you.

Collaborative & Preventative Approach

Wendy is a warm and empathetic professional who earned her degrees at the University of Adelaide in 2005. She brings extensive experience from corporate and government-affiliated sectors, including the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Employment, Welfare, and Disability services. She provides counseling, critical incident debriefing, and group programs while addressing a wide range of issues. She has a strong interest in and expertise in effective trauma treatments. Since 2021, Wendy has been in private practice working with clients aged 17 years to adults of any age. She centres on outcome-focussed psychological therapy based on her client's individual needs and approaches her work mainly from a Stress and Trauma perspective.

She operates from a trauma-informed and trauma-focused perspective and has worked with clients experiencing a range of issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, substance use, chronic pain, family and relationship issues, single-event trauma and PTSD, sleep difficulties, grief and loss, health-related stress and anxiety, and perinatal issues. Wendy also provides services on behalf of Open Arms Veterans and Families Counselling Service.

Wendy's approach is tailored to each client’s unique needs, viewing their challenges from the perspective of the whole person rather than focusing solely on diagnosis. Her integrative therapeutic style includes evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based therapies.

She has a strong interest in prevention and early intervention, helping clients navigate:

  • Anxiety

  • Stress

  • Sleeping difficulties

  • Grief & Loss

  • Adjustment

“I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. Healing is a collaborative process, and I work alongside my clients to explore the challenges and issues they want to address. Together, we aim to build understanding and find meaningful ways forward.

I also value a preventative approach, helping clients not only manage their current challenges but also recognise early signs of potential mental health concerns. This way, we can work proactively to maintain balance and well-being.”
